Xbox Game Pass Wont Replace Games With Gold, New Info Revealed By Exec’s

We had all heard rumors about how both Sony and Microsoft were looking to shift to a service’s based model , and Microsoft has done just that with it’s new subscription Xbox Game Pass for $9.99 per month.

Now there is some new information filtering in thanks to Xbox Executives Mike Ybarra and Aaron Greenberg who have quelled the rumors circulating around that Xbox Game pass would be replacing Games With Gold.

Have a look at what they had to say about the matter.

he also confirmed that you wont need to have a Xbox Live Gold membership to sign up for the service and as you can see in the tweet above he has also given a glimpse of the membership section which we will be getting with a future update. Most importantly though Mike Ybarra confirmed that the games will be downloaded only and that you will not be able to stream them.

Lastly Aaron Greenberg also confirmed that home sharing policies will apply to the Xbox Game Pass like they do with Xbox Live Gold.

In many ways it makes sense for Microsoft to offer long time Xbox fan’s a subscription based service. there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that it will be a resounding success , as for a mere $10 you gain access to a plethora of games.

In other Xbox related news Shadow of War has become the first official title to be announced for Project Scorpio after Phil spencer took to Twitter to confirm it.
