Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End the action-adventure video game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 4 was released worldwide on May 10, 2016. Since then it has picked up several awards with the latest being the Outstanding Achievement In Video Game Writing award at the Writers Guild Awards.
The nominees included the likes of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Far Cry Primal, and Mr. Robot 1.51exfiltratiOn.ipa. The official Naughty Dog Twitter account tweeted a photo of the developers with their latest trophy:

The eligibility criteria for the games required them to have been released between December 1, 2015 and November 30, 2016 while also featuring on-screen credits. The writers also did not have to be a part of the Writers Guild of America. The judges’ panel was made up of people who are “active in video game writing.”
This however is only the latest feather in the cap for Uncharted 4. It swooped several awards during The Game Awards in December, with Nolan North receiving Best Performance for his portrayal of Nathan Drake as well as the award for Best Narrative. At a another awards show earlier this month the game also managed to get awards for animation and visual effects.
Things only look to be getting brighter for Uncharted 4 as it is also nominated for awards at the upcoming Game Developers Choice Awards and SXSW Awards.
The 2016 nominees for Outstanding Achievement in Video Game Writing were:
- Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare — Written by Brian Bloom.
