Red Dead Redemption 2 has been listed for a September 26, 2017 release date by a UK retailer BASE.The retailer in question, recently updated their listing. The game is officially slated for launch in fall of 2017.
The date listed by the retailer seems to be somewhere around the games official launch window. The listed release date also falls on Tuesday, which is notorious for being a day on which most games are released.
But the question remains: Has BASE actually leaked the games launch date, or just like in the past is this just another mistake?
There was a similar incident back in 2016 when a retailer listed Red Dead Redemption 2’s PS4 launch date as October 2017.
This latest leak lists RDR 2’s launch date as September 26. You can view the screenshot down below.
But this isn’t the first rumor surrounding Red Dead Redemption 2. Saying there have been a plethora of rumors circulating online since last year would be an understatement . Some of these are included in the list below:
- There will be 3 protagonists
- The game is going to be a prequel to the original Red Dead Redemption
- Matt Bradford, from The Last Ride, is going to play a part in the game
- There (unfortunately) won’t be a Nintendo Switch version
Most rumors about games, unfortunately, turn out to be untrue. But on the bright side, atleast we actually have a date to look forward too. The launch window of the game is Fall 2017 , and hence my money is on an October release.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is slated for release on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One, and despite a petition there seems to be no news whether a PC version will be released or not.Let us know if you will be buying the game once it is released by commenting in the comments section below.
