EA is a leading American publisher of games on consoles, PC and mobile. Some of its popular games are the Burnout series, the good old Need for Speed series, everyone’s favorite The Sims, Plants vs. Zombies, SimCity and many more. EA is also famous for the Battlefield series; it is a video game franchise developed by EA DICE. There are around 5 versions of Battlefield and they are Battlefield 1-4 and Battlefield Hardline, with sub categories as well. Battlefield 1 can be played on Xbox One, PS4 and on PC.
Recently, there has been an announcement made by EA regarding Battlefield 1. It is that the game is going to face fall updates which are to be rolled out from tomorrow i.e. 15th November 2016. This means that the multiplayer servers are going to be offline during this time. Propitiously, the plug will be pulled for only an hour but if the process goes south in an unfortunate way then it is likely to take more time than normal. A schedule has been lurched as per platform:
- PC: Multiplayer will be offline for 1h starting 08.00 UTC / 12.00 AM PT.
- PS4: Multiplayer will be offline for 1h starting 10.00 UTC / 2.00 AM PT.
- Xbox One: Multiplayer will be offline for 1h starting 12.00 UTC / 4.00 AM PT
The patch notes are not yet released but right after the updates are up and running, they are to be posted on the Battlefield 1 “Game Updates” forum. According to a post in “Road Ahead” earlier this month, EA had stated that Hardcore Servers are to be expected, they even discussed some changes to the Suez map that have been planned, also revealed the new Fog of War custom game as well as promised more nitty updates and tweaks for matchmaking and server balancing.
