Super Mario Odyssey is one of the most highly anticipated games of this year and it is releasing in less than a month’s time! There are loads of new things, not only in regards to gameplay, but the world is as massive and filled with content that has been promised to be one of the best in the series. When it comes to Power Moons, Super Mario Odyssey is going the extra mile with it’s collectibles. Players are told to get ready for an immense grind if they want to get all of the Power Moons present in the kingdoms in the game.
NintendoLife recently tried to put a number on how many Power Moons are there in the game and the number is quite huge! Nintendo Direct offered a sneak peek in to one of the kingdoms (Sand kingdom) in the game and the amount of Power Moons in that particular world were counted to be 69. We can only imagine how big the game is judging purely from that number (there are A LOT of kingdoms in the game).
Like other Super Mario titles, it is easy to expect that almost all of the levels hold the same number of collectibles, give or take a few. This makes it easier to guess how many collectibles there are in the entire game.
With 9 huge content-filled kingdoms in it, Super Mario Odyssey has at least 500 moons in it and many more in the 2 unreavealed kingdoms that were shown off a bit. The Cap, the Cascade, the Metro, the Sand, the Luncheon, the Wooded, the Seaside, the Snow Kingdoms and a couple more all hold almost the same number of moons (which gather up to be a lot).
Super Mario Odyssey releases on October 27th for the Nintendo Switch and let us know in the comments section below if you’ll be picking up a copy when it’s out. Be sure to stay tuned!
