The Super Bowl season has come and gone and fans got to not only see new and groovy commercials but also trailers for the upcoming movies in Hollywood. The Super Bowl is watched by a large number of people in the US and companies try to take full advantage of the event.
The Super Bowl 52 featured the biggest movie and TV shows that are scheduled for release in the year. Disney was on top of the charts once again with its flagship products of two different franchises, Marvel & Star Wars. As reported by the Deadline Avengers: Infinity War and Solo: A Star Wars Story were the talk of the town on numerous social media platforms.
Deadline according to PreAct data highlighted that Avengers: Infinity War and Solo: Star Wars Film generated the most conversations on social media. Avengers managed to mass 161,000 conversations followed by Star Wars’ 109,000.
News for the new Star Wars film were already in circulation but company chose the Super Bowl 52 to initiate is marketing activities. Disney made use of the opportunity to launch the first short teaser trailer followed by a full length trailer the morning after.
There were some other trailers that audiences couldn’t get to lay their eyes on. Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom managed to accumulate the highest video views from Facebook, and YouTube combined. According to Comscore the views totaled to 3.56 million. Mission Impossible 6 came in second with 2.09 million views.
Both Avengers and Star Wars are expected to be released in May. Disney like always is expected to mint loads of money this season. In the Avengers we will see Disney’s efforts finally bear fruit as almost every Marvel super hero will be on the big screen. Meanwhile Starwars Solo is an experience none like ever seen on screen before and is likely to go big with the fans.
