Stephen Lang Wants To Play Cable In Deadpool 2

With multiple comic book adaptations making their way on to the big screen in the form of shows and movies, the entertainment world has been all about a bit too much of live action superhero drama. Amidst these cluster of adaptations there have been some outstanding ones that had the audience captivated throughout its course and begging for a sequel afterwards. One of these was FOX’s Deadpool which broke records when it was released in theaters back in February. The project was immediately greenlit for a second part, with post credit scene previously revealing Cable as its primary villain. Speculation soon rose amongst fans over who’ll be playing the big bad infamous guy, with many now suggesting that Stephen Lang is close to landing the role.

The drama all started when Stephen Lang tweeted a picture of himself making a huge muscle with a caption that read, “Let’s lay some Cable”. Since then fans of the movie have gone into a frenzy with a myriad of them campaigning all over social media using hashtags and what not to see Stephen Lang land the role. Lang who is currently in surprise hit Don’t Breathe recently spoke to Mashable about the possibility of playing Cable on Deadpool 2, “I was a fan of the first Deadpool and I’d be delighted to be a part of that sequel, but I haven’t spoken to anyone about it”, he said.

Although there have been no reports if Lang has been approached to play the part, fans are still hopeful to see the actor portraying Cable in the next installment of Deadpool.
