Sony believes that the next year to come is going to be even more impressive than 2017 for them in terms of game showings. The stats definitely do show that 2017 was an amazing year for Sony with so many big names released, and according to them 2018 is going to be even more epic!
Shuhei Yoshida, President of Worldwide Studios , did a panel at Paris Games Week in which he discussed Sony’s success in 2017 and was excited to state that the next 12 months were going to be even better!
“We have seen so many games presented today coming out in the next twelve months. It’s amazing! The last twelve months were amazing! Big games, great games, creative games, VR titles, and the next twelve months seem even bigger and better, more interesting!”
When you come down to it, Sony really did have a killer year!
Kicking off the year with the likes of Gravity Rush 2, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Yakuza 0, blasting mid-year sales with Nioh and Horizon: Zero Dawn and going strong for the rest of the year too! Uncharted: Lost Legacy and Persona 5 being just one of the many amazing titles that Sony pushed out this year, their focus was also on indie titles such as Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash.
Sony stating that 2018 going to be even better might make people second-guess that statement but it looks like it is going to be. With the new Spiderman exclusive for PS4 confirmed for PS4 along with the hugely anticipated The Last Of Us Part 2, Sony are sure to have a more than amazing year.
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom and Dissidia Final Fantasy NT are all going to be added to the PS4 lineup at the start of 2018 with God of War, Shadow of Colossus and Detroit: Become Human coming at the first half of the year.
