Monolith Productions is hard at work preparing their upcoming game Middle Earth: Shadow of War for launch, and fans are excited to get their hands on it. The game was showcased recently at E3 2017, and had an amazing gameplay trailer. It will run at 30 FPS in 4K resolution on the Xbox One X, and will reportedly also have a version for mobile phones.
Reddit users have found out that Shadow of War is being brought to mobile devices by Warner Bros., and they have also managed to find some gameplay footage of the mobile version of the game. According to the users, the mobile version is already available for download in the Philippines.
This is great for the fans of this franchise as they will get a chance to kill Orcs while travelling and it will most likely give a new and fresh take on the gameplay. Here’s the leaked gameplay.
In other related news, Monolith has revealed another exciting feature of the game. According to the dev, players will not be able to replay failed missions. So, if the player somehow dies during a mission, time will move forward, the players allies will be captured and the enemies’ strength will grow. This gives sort of a real time feel to the game, and also raises the stakes.
Shadow of War is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Shadow of Mordor. Shadow of Mordor was a success both commercially and critically, and is one of my personal favorite games. Monolith Productions are confident that Shadow of War will be even more successful, and will be a great entry game for players that are new to the series.
