Warner Brothers are producing and marketing one of the most anticipated games of the year, Shadow of War, and trust us when they say that this is their biggest investment in a single game as of yet. As reported by Olivier Wolff, SVP of International, Shadow of War is the most expensive and biggest marketing campaign for Warner Bros.
Wolff continued to tell us that Warner Bros expect the game to sell extremely well as it is well received by fans of the previous games and is awaited by a huge gaming audience. He said that this is the first time that the company has invested so much in a game, they have never done so before. Shadow of War is treated as the perfect game for an extremely wide audience, the company believes.
“[Our sales expectations] are massive. Top Five or Top Ten massive. We’ve never had such an investment in one game and in a marketing campaign, and we believe that we have the right product in order to seduce a mass audience. We have very high expectations. It’s definitely going to be our game of the year, there is no doubt about that.
We had a great start of the year with two big sellers, Lego Worlds and Injustice 2, and both of them were really big successes. But Shadow is War is going to be even bigger and we believe it’s a true Q4 triple-A flagship title.”
Monolith confirmed that in the sequel, you will not be able to reply failed missions and the world will continue even after you have died. Your allies will be captured if you failed a siege and the enemies will be stronger the next time you attempt it.
