Rumor: Destiny’s Second Expansion Might Be Called “God of Mars”

Curse Of OSiris DLC

After the release of the first expansion for Destiny 2 being well through it’s time, everybody has been waiting for details regarding the second story expansion to come out. A recent leak seems to tell that it might be named “God of Mars”.

A post on Reddit from a user “GodsofMarsLeak” seemed to reveal the expansion listed on the Japanese and North American PlayStation Stores which gave away a few details. This DLC will task players to go to Mars to save Rasputin and to defeat whatever problems Charlemagne has left there.

“Destiny 2 Expansion II: God of Mars sends your Guardian on a long journey to a brand new destination – the Frigid Vale of Mars, with an array of new missions, adventures, and enemies to fight. Charlemagne has reawoken on Mars and has imprisoned Rasputin within an ancient vault. Work with the elusive Ana Bray – long thought to be dead, in order to combat Charlemagne’s Remnants, free Rasputin, and uncover the secrets of Clovis Bray.”

The expansion will bring new story missions and raids along with various cooperative quests and adventures. Destiny 2’s loot is one of the most important part of it’s fun and addictive gameplay and the new expansion will bring loads of new weapons and armor sets. Additionally, this will also expand the lore and let people explore questions that might have been left unanswered in the universe before.

According to the rumor, the “God of Mars” expansion will come out sometime in May for the game. The predicted size is going to be around 70gb.

There hasn’t been any official word from Activision or Bungie regarding this so we can’t possibly be sure whether any of this information is true or not, fans have mixed opinions on the matter. Some people believe that the translations from the Japanese store listing has inconsistencies in it, but most do people that the information from the leak is legit and it is indeed going to be set on Mars.
