Resident Evil 7 has been a phenomenal success , and its most recent entry has really redefined the long running franchise, and bought it back to its survival horror roots.
It seems though the applause is not limited to critical; acclaim only as Capcom have today announced that the game has sold more than 3 Million units for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
However apart from Resident Evil 7 Biohazard , the final installment of the film series of the same name has also done quite well. Here is what the company had to say about it.
Furthermore, the newest Hollywood film, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, has had a strong performance worldwide, pushing the film series’ total global box-office to over one billion dollars. As a result, the Resident Evil film series boasts the all-time top box office gross of any film series based on a video game to date.
Capcom also anticipates that they will be able to surpass the 4 Million mark by the end of 31st March 2017. Which currently seems very reachable at this point in my opinion.
I honestly have to say that prior to the game’s release I expected it to be another one of those bland Resident Evil games that we had grown accustomed too, but boy was I wrong.
I almost crapped myself when I first started playing it in VR. All in all its a fantastic new addition in the series , and one which you should seriously consider playing in VR. If you haven’t tried it out yet , I would urge you too do so at the earliest possible.
