By now we are all aware of PS4’s system update version 4.50 which is currently in beta .Along with it also comes improvement to the PSVR in the form of Update 2.4. Which as users are reporting has significantly enhanced the performance of its cinematic mode.
One Reddit user Chris Lawrence had this to say about the improvements
Tested it in 3d using avatar and it was really clear. Not quite tv clear but definitely better. Could easily use it as a 2nd screen without feeling like you are losing out.
I tested avatar and it’s pretty much the same quality as a 3dtv with glasses. Doesn’t pop as much as games but better then 3d YouTube etc..
Another user Takoman64 had this to say
PSVR 3D has made me a believer in what cinematic 3D can actually bring to the table. After about 10 minutes of the movie the 3D is so perfect you more or less forget about it being there at all. I can confidently say I will only be buying 3D from now on and primarily watching movies in 3D on PSVR. It brought the movie to life, gave it depth, and really made me feel as if I were in the Marvel universe.
So it appears that the changes made resonate really well with the fans of the PSVR , and that it has significantly amplified the visual experience of its users.
VR is still in its early throws however it is great to see it making such positive strides, and it appears to be the future of gaming in the years to come. Although still in the Beta program this is a good sign for the future of VR.
We will update the viewers of the changes as soon as they are made official. let us know your opinions by commenting in the comments section below
