Project Scorpio Will Have Fantastic Graphics -Aron Greenberg

Many of us believe that Project Scorpio will be among the most powerful consoles ever released , if not the most powerful in terms of graphics, in fact Xbox executive Aron Greenberg is of the opinion that the console will turn some heads when it is released

Here is what he had to say at Xbox fan fest in Mexico City

“This will really bring the most powerful console you’ve ever seen. This console will provide a really true 4K experience, something that we’ve never seen before on the console, and it’s crazy since people have to spend thousands of dollars on high-end PCs to get this kind of visuals. The best part of it all is we’ll be able to scale it in a small console.”

There is a lot of hype surrounding the release of Project Scorpio with many believing the console to be superior to the PS4 , and if Microsoft remains true to their words and their vision they will have an unprecedented dominance in the console warfare. The only thing that could derail them is the price that is according to analyst Michael Goodman via We Write Things.

Sony had to be faster than Microsoft. If they come into the marketplace at the same time Scorpio does, as it is, they’ve lost the spec battle. The more I think about it, the more I believe it was absolutely brilliant what Microsoft did in their announcement. There’s nothing Sony can do or say to make people think that Scorpio is not more powerful than PS4 Pro. The only thing they could cause Scorpio’s demise is price. Microsoft doesn’t have to talk about that for a while.

If M$ aren’t lying (which I have no reason to suspect they are) then Scorpio is going to kick ass. If the specs are correct, it’s a necessary move for Microsoft. They lost against PS4, which has really motivated them to respect us gamers again. Microsoft’s original Xbone launch plans, if anyone can remember back that far, were disrespectfully arrogant toward their loyal customerbase. The contempt they showed for their customers was classic Microsoft. It’s nice to see a bit of that typical M$ arrogance knocked out of them. I think M$ have made the right tactical decision to launch Scorpio with the specs and date they’ve decided on. Also, M$ can capitalise on a lot of Sony’s hard work – Sony are pushing the gaming market to HDR & 4K, and will have spent a LOT of marketing money and effort to evangelise the benefits of PS4 Pro. A year later, Microsoft rides on all the free marketing push, and throws it out there “hey, check Scorpio out – it’s the REAL DEAL, and it kicks the absolute sh*zzle out of PS4 Pro.”

I’m expecting Scorpio to have quite a substantial CPU and GPU power advantage over PS4 Pro. I’d also not be surprised if, between now and tape-out of final Scorpio hardware, the specs lift a bit more. Global Foundries’ FinFET process improvement is going quite well I hear.
