Possibility Of Nier Getting A Remaster If Nier Automata Sells Like Hotcakes Says Yoko Taro

There are only a few weeks left till we get our hands on one of the most anticipated titles of the year , which is Platinum Games Nier Automata. However there are many fans who have been petitioning for a remaster of the original game Nier which was released back in 2010 for PS3 and Xbox 360.

The original game focused on the story of Nier and his quest to find a cure for his daughter Yonah who has been suffering from a terminal illness that is called the Black Scrawl. Nier is aided by the Grimoire Weiss in his quest. Nier Automata takes place after the events of the original Nier and continues after the original’s fourth possible ending

Recently Square Enix held a Q and A with the series creator Yoko Taro and he was of the opinion that we may yet see a Nier remaster. he said that there is  “very high possibility if NieR Automata sells like hotcakes, yes”.

Previously Producer Yosuke Saito had also said  that they would consider releasing the game on Xbox One, if the game was successful on both the PS4 and PC platforms.

Platinum Games has also confirmed that the game will take almost 25 hours to complete , however there are contrasting opinions on this as the game’s development team is off the opinion that it will take longer to complete the game, which is in my view great as most gamers are looking for a substantial story mode experience , and my guess is the game will take around 3o or so hours to complete.

I for one enjoyed playing the original Nier and a remaster would certainly be a treat on the PS4 . Let us know if you share the same sentiments by commenting in the comments section below.

NieR Automata  is scheduled to be released on February 23, 2017, for PC and PlayStation 4.
