Xbox Play Anywhere

The latest development made by Microsoft allows gamers to play their Xbox One games on PC and vice versa. The ‘Microsoft Xbox Play Anywhere’ will allow this without having to resort to technical tweaking of any settings either within the Xbox One console or PCs. The feature was portrayed during the launch of the action adventure game ReCore.

The Microsoft Play Anywhere also enables users to store in game progress, unlocks, and points while accessing it from another platform. If you are a Xbox One owner, you can check out your ‘Play Anywhere’ functionality with your purchased game as follows:

How to use Xbox Play Anywhere feature to play Xbox One games on a PC and vice versa:

Step 1: First, download and install the latest Microsoft’s Windows 10 Anniversary Update within your Xbox One console and PC.

Step 2: Log in to your Microsoft Account. This should be the one that you use in order to access Xbox Live.

Step 3: Download the game from the Xbox Store (You’ll have to purchase it). Titles can also be bought through the Xbox Application in Windows 10, Android and IOS platforms. Remember to log onto Xbox.com, Microsoft.com and the official Windows Store in order to purchase Play Anywhere compatible games.

Step 4: Lastly, once you buy the Play Anywhere compatible games, you’ll see that you won’t be charged for playing it on a different platform. Moreover, all of your credits including game progress, unlocks, and points will be transferred from the previous session on to the different gaming platform. However, do remember that you can log on to one device at a time only, which means you’ll have to log out from any other platform you had initial access with in order to play the game on the other platform.
