Latest posters of the characters for Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales includes recurring players such as Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) and new characters such as Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem). This amazing, nail-biting adventure film series, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl was initially released by Disney in 2003 and it has become a billion-dollar franchise since then, with the 2nd and 4th entries being at the top of worldwide box office above $1 billion. Originally, the series was a trilogy and ended with the 2007 Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, before Depp returned to Disney as Captain Jack for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and it turned out to be a great success but not as good in numbers as previous entries.

Now, Depp is returning as Jack Sparrow, as per Disney, for another adventure where he attempts to elude a long lost foe in Captain Salazar, however, this time, Dead Men Tell No Tales is going to comprise of huge connections to the initial Pirates trilogy, probably as the return of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and the addition of his son, Henry (Brenton Thwaites). The new posters of Dead Men Tell No Tales have brought light to both, returning and new characters of the franchise.

Entertainment Weekly premiered a new squad of character posters that include Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, Bardem as Spanish Navy pirate hunter-turned-ghost Captain Salazar, Geoffrey Rush as Jack’s ally Captain Hector Barbossa, Thwaites as Henry Turner, and Kaya Scodelario as the astronomer Carina Smyth. Here are the posters:

The movie is directed by Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg and the script is written by Jeff Nathansan. The plot summary of Dead Men Tell No Tales tells us that the movie is going to follow Hack Sparrow during his try to evade Captain Salazar who has just escaped from the Devil’s Triangle and is thirsty for revenge. Salazar brings back both, Barbossa and Henry, in order to look for Jack as Carina Smyth bumps into Hack and Henry while looking for Poseidon’s Trident.

Irrespective of all the new characters and mythologies introducing in this movie, infant reactions to this entry shows that it is going to be a comeback in order to structure the franchise. Post screening of the film at CinemaCon in the previous week, the forthcoming Pirates movie by Disney has received immense praises for its action set pieces, the adventure reminiscent of Gore Verbinski’s The Curse of the Black Pearl, and many of the actors. For sure, franchise fans have more than a months’ time till it is released so they can watch it firsthand, however, the early key indicators direct us to the movie turning out to be another success in Disney’s swashbuckling franchise.
