Xbox’s backwards compatibility program has been a widely successful initiative, and some would argue it is amongst the best feature that Microsoft’s flagship console has to offer. It now appears that almost half of Xbox One users have used the backwards compatibility program, which is if I must say a phenomenal achievement.
The backwards compatibility program recently hit the mark of 300 compatible titles, and now according to Phil Spencer around half of Xbox One owners are also using the backwards compatibility feature to replay their favorite games all over again.
Now over 300 back compat titles. Nearly 50% of XB1 owners playing BC games is great to see. Thanks for supporting the program.

Xbox One is estimated to have sold nearly 25 Million units, this means that a significant number of XB1 users are now using the feature to play their favorite games, and this is something that Microsoft and Xbox executives can count as a job well done.
It was recently revealed by NPD that the Xbox One S sold 1 million units in November, and According to Xbox Marketing VP Mike Nichols
We have seen strong momentum for Xbox One since announcing the new Xbox One S at E3 in June. That momentum continued in November as gaming consoles were once again among the most sought-after products to buy over Black Friday weekend.
With the PS4 outselling the Xbox One during the month of November, and with many predicting that the month of December will see the trend continue, Xbox needs to come up with a solid strategy which will ensure that the return to the summit which they had occupied so successfully for the past few months, however for the time being the Xbox One can bask in the glory of its backwards compatibility programs success.
