We may see the original Patrick Stewart return to TV screens
Normally we see TV shows and movies to be rather different entities. The two are disparate industries barely crossing paths with one another. Take the Flash for instance. Grant Gustin plays the role of the Flash and in Flash’s TV show and often crosses paths with Green Arrow and Super Girl. On the contrary, the movie version of the Flash is played by Ezra Miller who from the current story line may have never ever met the above mentioned heroes. Ezra Miller is set to kick star his career by directly joining the Justice League.
Due to the different storylines being followed by Tv Shows and movies, DC and Marvel universe becomes rather a complex and complicated story for the fans to follow. As a result there was a major gap between both the industries and exploiting it could reap substantial dividends. However this seems a bit unlikely it is not impossible.
As reported by Heroic Hollywood, one of Legion’s star Dan Stevens has approached Patrick Stewart aka Charles Xavier to reprise his role as the legendary professor X for the X-Men film series on FX show. According to Heroic Hollywood, Stevens regarding the issue said that “Oh god, Patrick Stewart takes a lot of beating and he did seem interested. He seemed very unaware of the show, but I mentioned that he was my dad, and he seemed pleasantly surprised.”
If Stevens manages to convince Stewart on reprising his role as professor X, it would be a great step for Marvel. It will allow fans to relate more easily with Marvel’s X-Men universe and would also provide other comic books such as DC to make such developments.
