NioH’s Director Talks About How The Game Is Different From Dark Souls

Nioh has recently gone gold, and will be releasing on February 8. The game is thought to be perhaps the most anticipated game in the month of February.

In a recent interview by Gamereactor Director Yosuke Hayashi talked about the comparisons made with FromSoftware’s genre defining series Dark souls. Here is what he had to say.

“We have a lot of respect for Dark Souls and Lords of the Fallen,” explains Hayashi. “But for Koei Tecmo it’s special to bring originality. Nioh is an action RPG based on fighting with a Western samurai protagonist and takes place in the heartbreaking sixteenth-century war in Japan.” In this way, and despite its similarities with the game of From Software, the manager emphasizes the differences between both: “Nioh offers a deeper combat system with weapons and equipment, as well as the opportunity to improve combat skills Of William “.

He also added that they were planning to take one step at a time with the game and that they were hoping not to rush things, and a possibility of a sequel dependent upon the game’s performance.

There are also plans to add a PVP mode after the release of the game as well.

We plan to offer for free a player-to-player mode in the near future after the launch of Nioh. There is also a seasonal pass available for booking on PlayStation Store which will add three large DLCs that will be launched shortly after the game’s departure.

I personally am excited for the game as it looks visually stunning , and it’s been a while since I have gotten my hands on a decent action RPG after the Witcher 3.
