With 2017 finally out of the way, Amazon’s real-time dynamic chart of best selling games has stopped updating for the past year, and perhaps surprisingly the top 3 games are all Switch exclusives . Have a look at the chart below.

- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for the Nintendo Switch
- Horizon: Zero Dawn
- Call of Duty: WWII for the PlayStation 4
- Call of Duty: WWII for the Xbox One

- Pokémon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for the Nintendo Wii U
- Destiny 2 for the PlayStation 4
The entire list is dominated by Nintendo titles. with 6 entries in the top 10 selling games being exclusives for Nintendo consoles. 4 out of the 6 are titles for the Nintendo Switch which further demonstrates the incredible year that Nintendo Switch has had.
Super Mario Odyssey is an incredible new entry in the Mario franchise and it has received both critical and commercial acclaim in the past few months. Nintendo has carried on its tradition for creating fun exclusives which capture the attention of their target market and the numbers show that Nintendo’s strategy is incredibly successful .
With 2018 now here it remains to be seen whether Nintendo will continue in the same vein and if it can continue the supply of amazing exclusives for years and years to come.
