Latest Images From The Set Of The Last Of US 2 May Have Provided Some Clues Regarding The Story And Gameplay

Following the announcement that Westworld actress Sharon Woodward would be joining The Last of Us 2 voice cast, new details have come up regarding Naughty Dogs upcoming game.

Sharon, who plays Elsie in Westworld, recently took to Twitter to share the news with her fans: “I am embarassingly over-excited here because I’m peaking .@Neill_Druckmann is letting me act in The Last of Us: Part II”. She also shared an picture of her wearing a motion capture suit while filming scenes for the game.

Following this, more details, including pictures, of the games cast and production have emerged straight from the games developer, Naughty Dog, itself.

The latest picture, posted by the games creative director Neill Druckmann, shows Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker on set. They both will play the roles of the games protagonists, Ellie and Joel. Another picture shared by Neill shows Halley Gross, his co-writer, clutching a shotgun while riding a prop for motion capture. They were probably filming a horseback fighting scene, which were featured in the previous game too. However if you look carefully right behind the Mocap horse you can see a small sort of figure which resembles a baby. Which may or may not tie in with the rumors of Ellie’s preganancy.

Druckmann also posted a GIF, with the comment “I’m a little uncomfortable with the ease that @shannonwoodward took to that machete”. The GIF shows Shannon spinning a weapon that looks like a machete. Her character hasn’t been revealed yet, but it’ll be exciting to see what she bring to the game.

Alongside Woodward, another Westworld connection is also involved in the game. Halley Gross, who’s  in the past been Westworld writer, and has been enlisted by Naughty Dog as a scriptwriter for The Last Of Us 2.

Naughty Dogs upcoming sequel to the award winning game, The Last of Us, does not have a release date yet but judging by the amount of info Naughty Dog is teasing us with, it’s safe to say the launch date isn’t too far. The game will take place 5 years after the events of its prequel, and will follow the story of Ellie and Joel.
