Mass Effect: Andromeda Gameplay To Be Shown at NVIDIA’s CES Keynote

Mass Effect

Mass Effect Andromeda is one of the most highly anticipated games out there and ,Bioware recently announced  that it will reveal new Mass Effect: Andromeda gameplay and environments during NVIDIA’s CES keynote. NVIDIA’s CES keynote will kick off on January 4th, 2017 at 6:30 PM PST, in Las Vegas at the Venetian, Level 5, Palazzo Ballroom.

Bioware have only demonstrated the PlayStation 4 Pro version of Mass Effect: Andromeda as of yet. This might be the perfect time right time to showcase the PC version of the game. Since they’ve decided to showcase new gameplay footage at NVIDIA’s CES keynote it could be an indication that there might be NVIDIA features such as GameWorks, despite the Frostbite engine usually being more optimized for AMD hardware.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is the latest installment and first new chapter of the franchise, coming five years after the launch of Mass Effect 3. The game makers have confirmed that this won’t be a trilogy; there will be a multiplayer beta prior to release but it will only be coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Mass Effect: Andromeda takes place 600 years following the events of the original trilogy where players will be looking to colonize the titular galaxy after receiving the title of Pathfinder. They have the option to choose either male or female, but interestingly the other sibling (as well as their father) will still remain in the game world.

A major difference that we’ll see in this title will be the prominence of exploration, due to huge explorable planets for which you’ll need to use the new Nomad buggy. Obviously the traditional stuff such as romance, dialogue trees and choices leading to different outcomes are also present.

So far we have no official release date yet, Bioware claims the game should hit shelves by Spring 2017. While we wait for the release you can check out the trailer right here.
