The Wolfhall takes a look at the latest disclosures of Luke Cage Season 2
When it comes to superhero movies, Marvel is the clear winner when compared to DC. However DC seems to be winning the race against Marvel in the TV show arena. DC has launched numerous characters including the Flash, Arrow, Super Girl and Gotham and managed to develop a sound target market.
Now Marvel does not want to be left behind and can be seen increasing the tempo. While entertainment companies wait till the end to reveal their cast members Marvel has adopted a somewhat different strategy. According to the latest news on the grapevine Marvel has revealed the names of two actors who will be playing the role of the antagonist in the second season.
Mustafa Shakir and Gabrielle Dennis are the newest cast members of the second season of Luke Cage. Shakir will take the role of John Mclver better known as Bushmaster. Bushmaster is a super strong criminal known for his intellectual tactics in crime. On the other hand Gabrielle Dennis will be playing the role of Tilda Johnson or Night Shade. Night Shade is a super evil genius who has done everything to bring Luke Cage down. Night Shade is also have said to fought Captain America and Iron Fist.
Luke Cage Season 2 is scheduled to come to TV next year, but with the latest revelations it seems clear that Marvel is trying to avoid keeping its audience in suspense in order to keep them rooted to Marvel TV universe. Marvel unlike its movies hasn’t been able to make a mark when it comes to its TV shows and thus seems to be playing it safe. One TV show that can clearly turn things around is the Defenders which is scheduled for release in August. The TV show will bring in Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Daredevil and Iron Fist in one team and might clearly be a treat to watch.
