HDR support has been added for The Last of Us Remastered an update on the PS4. The update known as update 1.07 also adds support for the upcoming PS4 Pro which means that if you plan on buying Sony’s latest console, you can enjoy the post-apocalyptic action adventure in native 4K (30 FPS).
In terms of the PS4 version, the addition of HDR has seemingly contributed to several improvements. A lot of NeoGAF users have reported more visible clouds, that end up separating darker areas much better and adds more realistic lighting in some scenes. Colour and shadow quality further brings a sense of realism.
Naughty Dog is also set to update Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End for the PS4 Pro although it is reported to use a different rendering technique. With the great work the developer has done to make the The Last of Us Remastered look simply stunning, we can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us. Stay up to date with us for any further developments.
