The Last Of Us II is probably one of the most highly anticipated PS4 exclusives , and if its anywhere near as good as the first game we might just have a masterpiece on our hands.
In a recent interview with Game Informer Naughty Dog’s President Evan Wells sat down to talk about their current projects . He started of by commenting on the upcoming stand alone DLC Uncharted : The Lost Legacy. he said that they were currently focused on the projects that they had on hand , and that they were done with Nathan Drake’s story , and they have a lot of ideas outside the Uncharted universe. At the same time he also confirmed that they were currently also busy in the development of The Last Of Us II.
He also talked about Naughty Dog’s plan of becoming a two team studio while they were working on The Last Of Us , but because of how busy they were at the time staffing two teams had become literally impossible , and they would wind up with a team and a quarter or a team and a third depending on the time of the year.
He went on to say:
“We’ve now got the ability to sort of have a team that’s in production, and sort of a pre-production team. When one team ends, we’ve sort of laid the groundwork with what the next product is going to be, and then we can sort of roll people over. But we’ve certainly given up any dream or fantasy that we’d ever be able to fully accomplish the two full teams.”
He then confirmed Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Team will sooner or later be merged with The Last Of Us II team , and that he had recently heard the “story pitch ” from Neil Druckmann , and he believes that the game is going to be awesome.
There are a number of theories trying to predict The Last Of Us II’s plot and Joel’s fate, but I guess we will have to wait for the game’s release to finally find out what Naughty Dog has in store for us.
