Horizon: Zero Dawn was a hit ever since it came out and Guerrilla Games made sure to announce the first ever story DLC for the game “The Frozen Wilds” as soon as possible for the players that were desperate for more content. The DLC is due to launch next month and it has now been confirmed by Guerrilla Games that there will be no more DLCs after “The Frozen Wilds” for the game.
As of now, there are no specific details about “The Frozen Wilds” but Guerrilla promised that we would get them as the launch for the DLC draws near. The Studio confirmed via twitter that this will be the first and last expansion for their game. This might be due to the fact that they are focusing more on a possible sequel rather than added content for the original.
Seamus Blackley had a lot to say about the developers, and a lot of it was very good. He praised Yoshida for “having the balls” to carry forward a project like this and said that it requires a lot of courage.
The sequel is the focus now for the studio which is possible considering a new protagonist but is assuring fans that they will definitely craft a story that will be a worthy successor to the first.
“I think Aloy will always be a part of Horizon: Zero Dawn, but as you might have seen, there is a big number of characters and tribes in the game, and we have a rich history.”
Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds comes out this November 7,2017 so be sure to pick it up if you want to continue Aloy’s adventure after completing the main game. Let us know what you think about a possible sequel in the comments section below. Stay tuned for more!
