Recently, PlayStation has posted an awesome video of an interview in which Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann has a chat with the managing director of Guerrilla Games, Hermen Hulst and their topic of discussion was Horizon Zero Dawn.
Hulst speaks of how close the final product of Horizon Zero Dawn is to the original version of the studio. And the game speaks for itself, as per Hulst. Although, previously, on Guerrilla- they played with the plan of the battle being trues to Killzone. Here is what he said:
“The very first prototype we did had Killzone M82 guns in it and you were firing your machine gun at these robotic dinosaurs.”

During this interview, Druckmann mentioned the reality that the series of Uncharted actually initiated with a bit more of a steampunk, open-world feel and thinking about it, makes me realize it’s pretty cool!
The whole interview is an eye-opening and jaw-dropping one as the two developers are nice and honest to each other and are providing each other with positive insight of their games. Druckmann even shared thoughts on Zero Dawn and in good words. Here’s what he said:
“You better believe I’m going to my team and saying, ‘OK, [Zero Dawn] is the bar now. We have to top this.”
The hard work seems to be getting the result it deserves and both the games, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Horizon Zero Dawn, are actually pretty popular and have been met with critical acclaim , and terrific sales.
Now the next game for Uncharted is Lost Legacy which is going to be a stand alone DLC and is going to be released in August. Whereas, Sony has teased an expansion in the story for Horizon Zero Dawn however its still early and we may need to wait for a while before that becomes a reality.
