The previous week was quite entertaining as fans saw numerous trailers of movies and TV shows released on Sunday’s Comic Con in San Diego. Both Marvel and DC teased fans with their upcoming movies in Justice League: Dawn of Justice and Thor: Ragnarok. In addition to movies, TV shows also were not far behind. Trailers of Stranger Things 2, Arrow, Flash and the Defenders were also seen.
Comic Con is the one place where companies try to make the best first impression. Marvel with its infinity war coming up is already way ahead of Marvel when it comes to fan perception. But DC after its success with Wonder Woman is not far behind and might close in if they pull out a good Justice League movie.
Let’s take a look at some of the most anticipated trailers that we got to see in Comic Con 2017:
Justice League teased the longest trailer with a run time of over four minutes. This movie is a make or break for DC comics and Warner Bros and they are clearly taking this seriously. While we already knew that the movie would feature Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Batman (Ben Affleck), Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) we got to see some new developments. The villain of the movie Steppenwolf was revealed which also sets the tone for the entry of DarkSeid. In addition, a reference to Lanterns was also made making the audience more familiar to Green Lantern. In the end we see Alfred talking to someone whose face is not shown. But the trailer clearly wants the audience to believe its Superman returned from the dead. While that character might be Superman we would still remain skeptical.
Marvel did a pretty good job in enticing the audience when they launched the first trailer of Thor: Ragnarok. But if you thought the first trailer was breathtaking the second one was even better. The second trailer is quite like a sequel to the first one as things now seem to make better sense. The evil female villain is the Goddess of Death: Hela that has destroyed all of Azgard. While the first trailer just showed us Hulk’s entry, the second trailer shows that he will be working with Thor. Loki, Thor’s brother is also expected to team up with Thor to bring down the Goddess of Death. The most phenomenal feature of the trailer was the last scene where we see some hidden power of Thor being awakened as he is wrapped in thunder. That last scene depicts Thor in his true form as the God of Thunder.
Marvel also aims to bring a team of lesser known super heroes to the TV screen. Like the Avengers, Marvel is soon to bring Defenders to TV audiences by uniting Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Daredevil and Iron Fist together. The show will basically revolve around how these unique individuals meet and how they team up to make New York crime free.
Flash Season 4
Another Superhero shows that is loved by the fans is Flash. After the whole Savitar fiasco we are finally getting the fourth season of the Flash. This time Barry Allen isn’t there to save the day. We have a new Flash in town: Wally West.
Stranger Things 2
Stranger Things 2 is also coming to the TV screen. The latest sequel is expected to take supernatural to a whole new level. This looks quite like the new Jumanji movie but the latest season will be quite a roller coaster ride for the fans.
Arrow Season 6:
Lucifer Season 3:
iZombie Season 4:
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow:
