A Song Of Ice And Fire author George R.R. Martin was amongst a host of celebrities who have voiced their displeasure over Donald Trump’s election as the president of the United States of America. On his personal blog, “Not A Blog”, Martin wrote an intriguing post titled “President Pussygrabber.”
“There are really no words for how I feel this morning. America has spoken. I really thought we were better than this. Guess not. Trump was the least qualified candidate ever nominated by a major party for the presidency. Come January, he will become the worst president in American history, and a dangerously unstable player on the world stage. And the decimated Democrats, a minority in both House and Senate, do not have the power to hinder him. Over the next four years, our problems are going to get much, much worse. Winter is coming. I told you so.”
Followed by a weeping emoticon with Martin highlighting his current mood, “depressed”. It is clear to see that the writer is no fan of President Donald Trump and that’s coming from the mastermind behind sadists such as Ramsay Bolton and Joffery Baratheon, I guess we should all be pretty worried.
In July, HBO confirmed that Game of Thrones‘ eighth season will be the last. Meanwhile, GoT fans will have to wait until summer 2017 for Season Seven, which will feature a reduced run of only seven episodes in comparision to the usual 10.
In other news related to Martin his sci-fi superhero anthology Wild Cards has reached a TV development deal with Universal Cable Productions. Many fans have been at the author’s throat for him to finally finish the highly anticipated The Winds of Winter, the sixth installment of A Song of Ice and Fire.
