German-Iranian composer Ramin Djawadi has been involved with the fifth installment of the action-shooter series Gears Of War. The Emmy and Grammy nominated composer has crafted the musical score for Gears Of War 4, adding his own touch to the game’s soundtrack. “Obviously, I wanted to make it very different ……” said Djawadi. “Whenever I approach a new project, I want to make sure I’m setting up a new sound”.
Best known for his work as the composer of Game Of Thrones, involved in the scoring work of every episode including the popular opening theme, the composer told Associated Press that he wanted the Gear’s 4 score work to be different from his work on the HBO drama series. He also added that the Gears 4’s Coalition of Ordered Governments (COG) faction will feature an electronic-style orchestral sound while the new Swarm enemies will have a much “darker” feel, creating a “nice contrast between the two.” A myriad of instruments will be involved with the music and orchestra through the journey of the game. Djawadi’s composition mixed with the sounds and voices of the franchise brings the game to a whole new level.
Apart from Game Of Thrones Djawadi has big names to his experience as a television, film and video composer. His work includes involvement as a sound technician with Looking Glass Studios, Warcraft theme, the Iron Man Soundtrack, and scores for the Prison Break remake as well as the HBO newcomer Westworld. Djawadi’s work has a huge fan following, and fans of the game are eager to experience his much acclaimed work for themselves. Are you excited for the release of the game?
