Although the Legend Of Zelda: Breath of The Wild has not been officially released as of yet , a number of different industry experts and publications have been praising Nintendo and the game has been given a near perfect score by all major outlets.
In many ways it has been a long time coming , and it is a rarity when a game earns a near perfect score from an overwhelming majority of critics , and Zelda has managed to do just that.
Last year when Nintendo Switch was still being called Nintendo NX , Xbox head Phil Spencer was of the opinion that the Switch looked great and that Zelda looked real well . Here is what we had to say.
But back then nobody could fathom that Breath of The Wild would go on to have such rave reviews. In many ways it has been a near perfect launch for Nintendo and I don’t think anybody can argue at this point that BOTW is a genuine system seller. Heck even PlayStation UK congratulated their counterparts on a successful launch.

Even Xbox’s Mike Ybarra was full of praise for Nintendo and Zelda BOTW, and tweeted he cant wait to play the game

Early review have suggested the game is a departure from the tried and tested formula , and it focuses on what you can do as in the game , rather than be limited with what you cant do. Each and every puzzle can be solved in a number of different manners, you can climb any tower or swim in any lake if your heart desires. Perhaps this is why the game has been earning such rave reviews.
Switch seems incredibly underwhelming, but this Metacritic score for Zelda is no joke, especially after 59 reviews. I can't wait to play. pic.twitter.com/VOoLwFEZ1U

Nintendo deserves all the plaudits that it is getting at the moment, expectations are high for Switch’s launch , and on 3rd March we will find out for sure if Nintendo can indeed build upon the solid foundation that has been laid down by The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild
