We are headed into Spring but Game of Thrones season 7 is yet to have a release date. But that hasn’t stopped the hype train at all, thanks partly to the fact that cast members keep dropping hints and teasers The latest stars to join that bandwagon were Alfie Allen and Jacob Anderson who portray Theon Greyjoy and Grey Worm with the duo throwing around phrases like “absolute chaos,” “pressure cooker,” “awe,” and yes, “blow a lot of people’s minds.”
Mashable managed interview Allen and Anderson at a preview of the upcoming Game of Thrones concert tour. Many of you would already be aware of the fact that season 7 will be shorter than the regular seasons and consist of just seven episodes instead of the normal ten. But Anderson believes that with so much going on everything seems even bigger.
“It doesn’t feel like a panic, but I’m panicked for people, I think. I think, and this is true of season 6, you can feel that things are coming to a close. It’s all getting a bit much. The show’s kind of like a pressure cooker … It’s just absolute chaos. […] I’m just in awe of how everybody’s managing to fit as much as there is into seven episodes, because it doesn’t necessarily feel like a normal season, it feels bigger”
Allen also added to the expectations talking about the upcoming chaos revealing that characters who never met before will finally cross paths and loyalties will be tested:
It’s gonna be a crazy season. It’s definitely going to blow a lot of people’s minds. It’s still the same running theme; characters that haven’t crossed each other’s paths before will do, and they’re gonna take it even further this time. People have loyalties that they have to examine.
Despite the shorter lineup season 7 promises to be as crazy and shocking as ever with armies from all corners of the realm preparing to collide and the Long Night also closing in.
Game of Thrones is expected to return this summer.
