The Wolfhall takes a look at what executive producer Helbing has to say regarding the upcoming The Flash Season 4
DC shows tend to do an amazing job when it comes to captivating the audience by revealing the identity of the villains as late as possible. Flash now has had three seasons which is followed the same pattern. In all three seasons the villain has always been someone who was close to the Flash and the team. If you people have noticed the show mostly has followed a Scooby Doo Strategy when it comes to villains.
While so far the strategy for the Flash has worked well with the fans, the question is will the show’s producers continue with the same strategy or bring something different to the show. Our answer was answered by the show’s executive producer Todd Helbing who has decided to make some changes in the architecture of the show.
Speaking to the Den of Geek at San Diego Comic Con, Helbing regarding the last Flash Season said that It got pretty dark last year, and that’s about as dark as we want to go with this show, so we’re going to dial it a little bit back to season 1 and have The Flash enjoy being The Flash.” When asked as to what he would like to change in the previous season he said that “One thing we probably would have changed would have been to reveal Savitar a little bit earlier, especially since Grant is so amazing with his evil, future version of himself,” Helbing said. “It became tricky but I’m certainly proud of what we did last season.”
While Helbing wants to go back to the dynamics of the previous season we would want him to retain the dark tone of the season. We would also recommend them to embark some improvements when it comes to revealing their main villains.
