EA Files Trademark For Two New Possible Games “Vigilance” and “Vigilant”

It appears that EA has trademarked two new terms Vigilance and Vigilant, with the United States Patent and Trade office.  They said trademarks have been filed under computer games software so it is more than likely that EA is starting work on a brand new franchise.

However there are no concrete details as of yet , about what the games might be about , the titles similarity however indicates that they could be two games in a brand new franchise , or a standalone game with a companion mobile game title. However we will only get to know about the game once EA officially announces it for now though all we can do is speculate about what the game might be.

One possibility also arises that the title might be for the Nintendo Switch, after EA confirmed that they would be developing a brand new game for the console.

This is what EA CFO Blake Jorgensen had to say about developing games for the Switch in November 2016

“We haven’t yet announced what game, but you should assume that it’s one of our bigger games,” “We’re excited for Nintendo.”

Hence it is not beyond the realms of possibility that EA might be developing an exclusive for the Nintendo Switch which is going to be released in a few months’ time.

If I had to guess vigilant or vigilance sounds like a game that you would give to an action RPG ,  and hence my money is on the fact that we might be getting a new RPG from EA. However nothing is set in stone , and we have to wait for EA to officially announce the titles before we can gain any new information.
