Doctor Strange Confirmed For Avengers: Infinity Wars

Benedict Cumberbatch is set to make his appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Doctor Strange in the upcoming Marvel movie of the same name. However, recent developments confirm that the character will be making a few appearances elsewhere as well.

There were rampant rumors pertaining to the involvement of Doctor Strange in other projects of the MCU, with reports suggesting that the character could make a surprise appearance by featuring in Thor:Ragnarok. This would make Cumberbatch’s first MCU crossover appearance, with the actor recently confirming his second. The actor sat down with Empire Magazine to talk about the future of Doctor Strange in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, during which he stated. “logistical challenge of aligning his schedule with those of Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany”. The actor then went on to explain the involvement of his character in Avengers: Infinity Wars, “To get us all together will be quite something,” “That’s why this character is being introduced, to open up the next chapter. So watch this space to see how that unfolds.” The introduction of Doctor Strange would be quiet dynamic and would open up new portals to explore within the movie.

Downey, Evans, Olsen, and Bettany are, of course, the actors who respectively play Iron Man, Captain America, Scarlet Witch, and Vision of the Avengers. The next film on Marvel’s schedule that it would make sense for all four of those characters to appear in Avengers: Infinity War. Fans would be delighted with this recent development given the fact that almost all of us were rooting for the character’s involvement with the upcoming Avengers film since day one.
