Detroit: Become Human is undoubtedly one of the most awaited PS4 exclusives, and developer Quantic Dreams has big plans for the game. The studio plans on making the choice-driven game much bigger than any of their previous titles, and will have 3 times as many choices as the critically acclaimed Heavy Rain. But the game has yet to recieve a release date. However, Quantic Dream has now announced that Detroit: Become Human will be featured at Gamescom and will be playable.
The studio announced through their Twitter account that Detroit:Become Human will not only be present at Gamescom, but a playable demo for the game called ‘Hostage’ will also be available. The playable demo will be the same scenario that was showcased during the game’s E3 trailer, in which players must defuse a hostage situation by their actions and choices.
Speaking of Detroit: Become Human, David Cage talked about the game and revealed how painful the process of writing games was. Speaking at DICE Summit 2017 broadcast earlier this year, Cage explained that in the past games simply focused on game mechanics to test players skill. However, soon story became important as player’s wanted a reason to shoot and kill in video games.
Quantic Dreams has also revealed that Detroit: Become Human will take story telling to another level, and will push the Playstation 4 to it’s limits.
In related news, Nintendo’s Gamescom showcase will feature a slew of exciting titles including the upcoming Super Mario Odyssey. Event attendees will get a chance to try out the Sand Kingdom levels of Super Mario Odyssey and Metro Kingdom.
