Destiny 2’s beta is arriving next week and a video for one of the Crucible maps in it has been released to showcase all there is to know about it. An IGN video about the in-depth tour of Endless Vale (which is on Nessus) showcases the environment artist for the game, Coolie Calihan, talking about the new location. There are some things to be noted as the timing for the Power Ammo is not accurate in the video compared to the actual game, it will take much longer for it to appear. You can watch the video below:
There are loads of other videos for the map on the IGN Youtube page which you can check out. Some of these videos include the showcase for different classes and races such as the Warlock and Sentinel Titan. Bungie also talked about how the Control mode has changed in Destiny 2 while showcasing the details on Endless Vale, you can check that video out over here.
For people who preordered the game, the beta will begin on July 18 for PS4 and July 19 for Xbox One. The open beta will be available to everyone on the 21st and will end on the 23rd.
The beta will include the starting story mission of the game (Homecoming) and another mission called the Inverted Spire Strike. There are two modes for Crucible, Control and Countdown, both of which are available to try in the beta. The Farm, a newly designed social space for the game, will be available to check out for a limited amount of time.
All of the progression from the beta will be wiped out on release date and players will get a special emblem by participating in the beta. Some of the online features will also be unavailable in the beta.
For everything new on Destiny 2, stay tuned!
