When it was first announced that Destiny 2 will be finally heading to PC, fans of the Master Race were finally happy that perhaps one of the greatest shooters of all time would finally be heading to the PC. There were recent rumors that the original Destiny would also be heading to PC via Steam, but apparently that doesn’t look like happening any time soon.
There was some confusion about the popular in game currency of the original Destiny namely, Silver which was apparently available to buy on PC gaming’s most biggest store Steam which gave birth to the speculation that Destiny and the upcoming sequel might become available on steam in the near future.
Bungie community manager David “Deej” Dague said on Twitter that Silver showing up on Steam was an error. He also stated that Valve will head refunds to all who bought them. In another tweet, Dague said, “We’re with Blizzard. No plans to release Destiny 2 on PC anywhere else. Pass it on.” Althought there was no word on the original Destiny, it looks increasingly likely that it will not be headed to Steam anytime soon.
As announced previously, Destiny 2 will be available on Blizzard Battle.net. Which is largely famous for games like Overwatch and World of Warcraft.
Destiny 2 launches on September 6 for PS4 and Xbox One, with a release for PC following on October 24. Bungie is holding a PC beta that begins on August 28 to people who pre-order the game. Let us know if you will be playing the PC beta by commenting in the comments section below.
