According to Swedish retailer komplett’s website Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on 30th September 2017 if the game’s listing is to be believed.
Cyberpunk 2077 is being developed by The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt , CD Projekt RED. As was the case with their last game, Cyberpunk 2077 is expected to be distributed by Namco in Europe.
You can see Namco’s logo sitting under the listing which suggests that Namco is yet again involved with distribution. It goes without saying though as of now all these are just rumors with CD Projekt RED yet to confirm or deny this leak.
When it does eventually release though it’s expected to be pretty dope with producer John Mamais calling Cyberpunk “really, really, really fucking bad-ass” at The Game Awards 2016.
Cyberpunk 2077 is expected to be a massive open world game and we hope to see Gwent like mini-games to keep us busy for a long time. For those not familiar, Gwent is a popular card game within The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt.
The developer ended up working on a standalone Gwent game due to popular demand. This is what CD Projekt RED had to say about Gwent: The Witcher card game.
We wanted to make a fun mini-game that players would enjoy in between saving the world in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. That was the plan when we were creating GWENT. And then it turned out players were actually spending a whole lot of time playing GWENT, much more than we anticipated.
We started getting tons of messages from them asking us to make a standalone GWENT game that would let them play it friends. Some even went as far as to build custom playing tables and real-life GWENT decks. So we decided to make the game and were making it because of the huge community effort.
