Developer CD Projekt Red artist Jose Teixeira suggested earlier this year that the studio was still in the process of building up for Cyberpunk 2077, which is the post Witcher RPG project announced earlier in the beginning of 2013. The development is all on board now, with the studio recently revealing that more people are involved with the making, development and production of Cyberpunk 2077 than there are in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
“There are currently more game developers working on Cyberpunk 2077 than on The Witcher 3 in its most intensive month,” the studio stated in response to a message posted on a forum dedicated for shareholder questions and similar stuff, as stated by NeoGAF. The efforts being put in by the studio for the development and making of Cyberpunk 2077 is pretty significant, obvious by their recent CD Projekt Red’s recent recruitment drive. On August 30th, its careers website had around more than 60 job positions available of which many were meant for the purpose of creating vehicle-based gameplay.
Set in a Dystopian future where focus is primarily set on the society, Cyberpunk 2077, based on Mike Pondsmith’s pen and paper RPG is said to be bigger and better than The Witchcraft 3. However the studio and the developers have kept quiet pertaining to the features and details of the game. CD Projekt have declined to comment or reveal anything about the game itself, including whether the game would support co-op multiplayer or when exactly they plan to release it though it is reported that the date will be announced early in 2017.
Avid users will be looking forward to more information to be made available regarding the game’s features, and would be eager to get their hands on the game as soon as possible.
