Back in January we got to know that Resident Evil 7 would be getting a DLC which would be called “Not A Hero”, yet there was not much detail available regarding it. Now it appears that Capcom has announced that the DLC will star a familiar face which is going to be Chris Redfield.
Capcom says that the DLC’s story will follow Chris Redfield and will have a different take than Ethan’s nightmare, and it is up to the player to find out what exactly is Chris running after in the said DLC “Not A Hero”. The DLC is said to be released sometime around spring
Capcom has also released a number of screenshots which sees Chris looking badass, you can see the screenshots below.
The rest of the article may contain spoilers for those who have not finished Resident Evil 7 , hence read at your own discretion.
Many of you who have actually finished the game may remember that Chris actually makes a cameo at the end of Resident Evil 7 , and even then his appearance is shrouded in mystery as he identifies himself as just “Redfield”. The other point of interest is Chris’s character design which many have noticed is actually really different . The new version of Chris Redfield seems to be more streamlined as opposed to the beefier version that we have seen in previous titles. Which has prompted many fans to ask the question , is it really Chris we are seeing?
there is also the question of why is he actually working with the Umbrella corporation , and is he chasing Lucas baker the only notable surviving member of the Baker family. I guess we will just have to find out when the DLC releases this spring.
