Cyberpunk 2077 has been touted by many as a game which could have massive potential, and dare I say it may even surpass the critical reception that was received by The Witcher 3 : Wild Hunt. With the studios co founder Michał Kicińsk of the opinion that they can meet the expectations of the fans and the gaming industry as well.
However today in a rather surprising turn of events news broke that CDPR was being held to ransom by a couple of unidentified individuals who will leak data regarding Cyberpunk 2077 if their demands are not met. This is as of yet a developing story , however CDPR has come out with a statement that they will not be giving into these demands . here is the statement they have put out on Twitter.

Nothing much is known about the said leaks and it must be said that CDPR has handled the situation quite well , by coming out in the open and acknowledging that there has been a breach of security and being transparent about everything. The move has only seen the studio grow more in the eyes of their fans, and they must be commended for sticking to their guns and not giving in to any demands that are being made.
It will be interesting to see how this story develops and whether there is a leak this close to E3 2017 , as always let us know your opinions about this development by commenting in the comments section below.
