CD Projekt RED Is Working On A New Game Alongside Cyberpunk 2077

Cd Projekt Red Witcher

CD Projekt RED is working on another game alongside Cyberpunk 2077, as per a statement by the studio in its annual financial meeting. In this meeting, the developers of the Witcher series, CD Projekt RED put more light onto the information with respect to the different franchises.

First of all, to begin with, the developing house talked about Cyberpunk 2077, the forthcoming RPG game which has been on the bottom of the priority list for a couple of years in favor of The Witcher. Now that Wild Hunt is wrapped up, the studio is able to concentrate completely on Cyberpunk.

As per them, the development of Cyberpunk 2077 is at an advanced stage , yet it will still take some time before the game is actually released. The biggest team of the studio is currently working on it, comprising of a total of 300 people. The project is a pretty ambitious one that they want to derive more attention and effort towards .

On the other hand, a new game is also in development by CD Projekt RED apart from Cyberpunk 2077 and Gwent card game, and it appears it might be in its initial stages. We first learned of Cyberpunk 2077 around 5 years ago, long before the Witcher 3 came out. Hence it appears the folks at CDPR is looking to give this unnamed title the same treatment. In its 5 year plan from (2017 -2021) the company also lists a release of another AAA RPG title alongside Cyberpunk 2077

For now, the studio is not giving any information to the public on the new CD Projekt RED game but it is known that the studio is looking out for Concept Artists for the aforementioned unnamed title.

Another  Witcher game, however, is a huge possibility for  the studio as they’ve said they would prefer considering it. Although, the story of Geralt of Rivia is finished , there are a number of other stories in the Witcher universe that are waiting to be explored, and CDPR may yet introduce us to a brand new protagonist , but that’s just me speculating.

Can’t wait!! Can you? Let us know if you have an inkling about CDPR’s new project by commenting in the comments section below.
