It appears that Capcom is one of the latest companies which is actively looking to bring its titles on the PS4 , Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch.
“We are currently carrying out research with regards to multiplatform implementation of software for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on to the Nintendo Switch,” commented Capcom as part of its FY2016 Q2 Question and Answer Summary.
They further added
“However, we do feel that there are differences in the desired direction and the play-style of the Nintendo Switch and those of the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. At Capcom, we determine which platform to release a title for after considering the features of both our software and the hardware in question, believing we must bring the enjoyment of our games to their maximum potential.”
The Switch trailer made a point of showing of individuals playing popular titles such as Skyrim and NBA 2k17 , so it has many fans buzzing at the possibility of Nintendo’s next generation console breaking the monopoly that has so far been enjoyed by the PS4 and Xbox One. However there are others who feel like the Switch will be nothing more than a glorified tablet.
However it does seem that a lot of developers are actually interested this time around to develop titles for the Switch. It however remains to be seen if Nintendo can actually hit the ball out of the park this time around , and give us a console that reeks of awesomness.
