We previously told you about the new PS4 Pro ‘Boost Mode’ which improves the framerate of unpatched games by utilizing the extra power the PS4 Pro possesses. Sadly after viewing the results of a couple of recent tests it seems that at least in Bloodborne’s case the boost is insignificant. The Boost Mode only managed to increase one FPS from 29.0 to 30.0 FPS basically stabilizing rather than increasing FPS.
Alongside the minor FPS increase/ stabilization the Boost Mode also ended up prolonging the loading time by about a second. The Boost mode tests were carried out by NX Gamer and DigitalFoundry. NX gamer tested Bloodborne FPS while in combat and measured frames pacing while DigitaFoundry’s test was based on the character venturing in the games environment. Nevertheless, both videos more or less had the same end product which was a consistent output of 30 FPS instead of 60 FPS.
Recently Users on NeoGAF had created a list of all the games that have been tested on the boost Mode , with the worst running games highlighted as well. Which included the likes of SOMA, and Grow Home amongst others. here is the complete list which you can access by clicking here.

With the Boost Mode failing to deliver 60 FPS for Bloodborne on the PS4 Pro the only hope of seeing that now rests on the official support From Software team.
Bloodborne is an action role-playing video game developed by ‘From Software’, produced with SIE Japan Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game came out back in March 2015 for the PS4.
