There is an update on the Assassin’s Creed Animated Series  and it is that their head of content, Azaizia Aymar has confirmed through Twitter that there is involvement of Ubisoft with the project. Some details were also shared by him. Check them out below.

The original story  that the Hollywood producer, Adi Shankar who has worked on Dredd, Lone Survivor, The Voices and many more familiar names has now announced his next project which is going to be for one of the hugest franchises in the gaming industry. The producer unveiled that he is working on an anime series for Assassin’s Creed. This comes after Adi has already released an animated version of Castlevania , and the 4 Episode first season has earned a lot of praise despite having a low runtime. If you have not watched the 4 episodes you should definitely put it on your watchlist.

The Assasin Creed animated series will be  based on Ubisoft’s hugely popular stealth-action franchise however, it is going to tell a completely authentic story. As of yet, there is not a lot of word about the title, premiere date, network or cast. These details are going to be unveiled later on as it seems like the project is still in the initial production process.

The 32 year old producer, Shankar, is a huge fan of the Assassin’s Creed series so he says that he was floored to get the chance to work on the franchises new anime, here’s what he said:

“If anyone tells you not to follow your passion in life, they are wrong. I played the first edition of Assassin’s Creed the year I moved to Los Angeles. At that moment, I knew absolutely no one in the industry and could never have imagined that one day, Ubisoft would ask me to take the world of Assassin’s Creed and create an original anime story set in it as an anime series.”

This year a big game of Assassin’s Creed is going to come out in October, Assassin’s Creed Origins, for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Also, a mobile game is on the way which is called Assassin’s Creed Rebellion. Check out the full statement by Shankar:

Last but not the least, this isn’t the first time that the Assassin’s Creed series has extended its arms out of the gaming industry. Just Last year, Fox produced a live-action movie with the franchise starring Michael Fassbender. Although the movie was critically panned by most critics it seems that a sequel might be a very realistic possibility

Adi Shankar has already worked wonders with the animated adaptation of Castlevania, and hopefully he can do the same for the Assassin’s Creed animated series.
