The X-Men spinoff new Mutants is in early developmental phases, and is slowly adding to its cast day by day.
After X-Men 3 did not go well with the fans, Fox Studios revamped the series. Wolverine travelled back in time, altered the events which ensured a slightly different future. Now after Logan, we also saw a new wave of young mutants coming up. They are likely to be the future X-Men and most of the X-Men movies that will come up will include these new set of mutants. One such installment of Fox Studios is the new X-Men spin-off film called the “New Mutants.”
One recent development that we have come across is that Blu Hunt will be playing the role of Danielle Moonstar in the X-Men installment. As mentioned above the story would focus on the journey of different mutants learning to adapt to their mutations. The characters will also utilize their abilities to escape a secret facility.
As reported by the Hollywood Reporter, Danielle Moonstar is a very important character in the X-Men universe. Her abilities are bit like of a Boggart which appeared in the third installment of Harry Potter. She is able to create illusions drawn from the desires and fears of her victims.
Some of the other actors that are in talks to be a part of the new film are Charlie Heaton of Stranger Things and Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple). Charlie would play the role of Cannon ball or Sam Guthrie and Rosario would assume the role of Cecilia Reyes.
Some of the other cast members include Anya Taylor-Joy as Illyana Rasputina or Magik, Maisie Williams as Rahne Sinclair or Wolfsbane, Henry Zaga as Roberto da Costa or Sunspot and Blu Hunt as Danielle Moonstar. The movie is set to hit theatres next year on April 13.
