Sonys E3 Conference was filled with many exciting game trailers, but one of the announcements that surprised us was Monster Hunter World. Developer Capcom only showed a trailer for the game during the showcase, but eager fans will be happy to hear that 22 minutes of gameplay footage of the game has been leaked online, and boy does it look good.
The footage has been recorded offscreen, and is not very clear due to the room being dark, but nevertheless the game looked spectacular, featuring beautiful jungle environments and a plethora of monsters. The footage also shows off the games combat as well as stealth gameplay. A monster infested dungeon is also seen in the video. You can see the said video by clicking on the following link.
Capcom has already confirmed that Monster Hunter World is a mainline entry in the series, not a spin-off. The game is being developed by Capcom Japan and has been called a ‘real’ Monster Hunter game by Capcom’s Yuri Araujo, who also said that gameplay will not be sacrificed to boost the games graphics.
The Monster Hunter series debuted with its first game Monster Hunter on the PS2 back in 2004. Since then, the series has seen immense success across generations of consoles and handhelds. As the title of the game suggests, the player takes the role of a hunter tasked with completing quests by capturing or killing monsters.
Initial impressions suggest that Monster Hunter World will be a slobber knocker when it does come out , for the time being though all we can do is be excited for the release and wait for more information to come out.
Monster Hunt World is slated for launch in 2018. It will release for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. Let us know your comments and suggestion by commenting in the comments section below.
