The Flash Season 3 finale is going to be one of the most intense. The season is headed towards its climax and fans will finally get to know who the mysterious speedster from the future, Savitar really is. This season like the previous ones has succeeded in concealing the identity of the antagonist till the very end. Fans have had different theories and arguments as to who the God of Speed truly is. The finale is scheduled to be aired on May, 23 and will finally tell as to who was most accurate in their assumptions.
Savitar has made life miserable for the Flash and the gang. Moreover, he has also killed Iris in the future and taken a personal animosity with the Flash. Flash now intends to travel the future, save his lover and develop a strategy to take on Savitar. But the question is whether Flash’s journey to the future will be successful?
In order to answer the question we can take a look at the previous seasons and discover the historical trends. While historically Flash always has outwitted his nemeses, this time things might be different. The show might be hanging for a cliff hanger and while the details of the Savitar’s identity may be unveiled in the season finale, he might still roam loose.
As reported by Screen Rant the synopsis of the season finale may be as follows. First we take a look at the pre-finale and then the finale.
Barry travels to 2024 to find out Savitar’s identity, where he encounters future versions of himself as well as his Team Flash friends. Upon returning to the present, Barry & Co. meet a scientist (House‘s Anne Dudek) who may be the key to stopping Savitar, but they must — literally, and with great difficulty — fight to keep Killer Frost from getting to her first. Afterward, Caitlin’s icy alter ego makes an interesting proposal, discovering Savitar’s true identity, Team Flash prepares for a final, epic battle with the God of Speed… while struggling with a major setback. Expect a season-ending cliffhanger that will leave viewers — and the heroes — questioning how they will move forward in Season 4.
From the synopsis its clear that although the identity of the Savitar will be revealed and it will be interesting to see how The Flash Season 3 finale will build upon it. This break in trend would also imply that the Villain would not be an easy one to deal with and could be the Flash himself. I mean what bigger difficulty could be to face one self.
